Where the Fraggles Meet Old Bruce Wayne

Last week, my cable company, Cox Communications, gave me a welcome surprise. The Hub Channel is now part of my cable package and I’ve never been happier. If you have an opportunity to add this channel to your viewing package, I highly recommend it. Besides the expected sitcoms like “Happy Days” (did you know Richie [...]

RED – Retired. Extremely Dangerous

No one will ever mistake me for a Bruce Willis fan. In fact, the last Bruce Willis I saw in the theaters was “Death Becomes Her.” You can probably draw your own conclusions from that on how I initially approached this movie. Contrary to all the early reviews, in my opinion, this was a fun...RED – Retired. Extremely Dangerous

Ahsoka Tano and the 2010 San Diego Padres

Earlier this year, I wrote that the San Diego Padres Baseball Team would not win their division, but would have a winning record. While I am pleased (at this writing) to be correct on that point, I am also sad to see that despite her best efforts, Ahsoka Tano of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” might not bring the Padres the playoff opportunity they so richly deserved this year...Ahsoka Tano and the 2010 San Diego Padres

It’s Not Like I Didn’t Say This Was Going To Happen

Back in June I commented on the fact that customers of the new Apple iPhone 4 complained about poor reception within hours of purchase and that Apple’s initial response was, “You’re holding it wrong.” Finally, after Consumer Reports gave the phone a “Not Recommended” rating, Steve Jobs came forth...It’s Not Like I Didn’t Say This Was Going To Happen

Comic-Con has Ended and I have Gifts

Comic-Con has been a staple of San Diego county summers for 40 years. It is, in fact, become so large an entity that other larger venues are wooing the convention and the consensus is that Comic-Con’s days at the San Diego Convention Center are numbered.

Oddly enough, I have never found the time to make it to this 3-day event and on the occasions when I’ve decided to go, the event was sold out. But because I have a friend who goes religiously every year, this year I got a goody bag...
